This mini project was an image appropriation project for SHAWN MENDES's "WONDER" TOUR. The style I was trying to achieve was more of a vintage black-and-white promotional poster. I incorporated 4 different images from this album's "Wonder" content, including The Album Cover, the Netflix Documentary "SHAWN MENDES: IN WONDER" promotional poster, Shawn Mendes's Wonder: The World Tour - PRESENTED BY DISNEY+ and the lineup at the back of the physical album cover.
I wanted the "wonder" tour logo and the "W" logo to look like they are stamp-like on top of the poster to create a vintage look to the piece. I also added a paper card texture on top of the poster to create a more vintage "rough" texture to the piece.
I chose to do a double exposure on the model / Shawn Mendes as I want to also incorporate the album cover within the piece to give a reference on where the tour came from.
