I got the idea of creating multiple versions of themself through a “portal” like it from the past exam work I’ve done before which was “∞” - which is about a person warning themself (from the past). I also got inspired by the piece “opposites [cm]” I was inspired by how the size of the product in the photo swap, and I think would be interesting and ironic if I would’ve used a watch instead to use the watch as a mirror for the model to see the older/younger version of themself.
This piece is a little bit of a time-consuming piece. This mock uses 5 shots, 2 from each “time” of the model with different costumes. To create the Silhouette like the photo for the model using 2 lights + a transmitter to get equal lighting for the model. Which at first I thought would fail due to how dark the model would be. I chose to re-use the watch shot due to how I think it’s a good idea to have a good continuity. I also have to shift the photo on to the left to make it look more straight and use the blend mode to create the glowing effect —> which creates a futuristic look to the photo, I chose to create. Colder type to the photo.
